King Charles III on telly tonight
Don't miss it. I saw the stage version a couple of years ago. It's brilliantly written in quasi-Shakespearian verse and is funny at times but also thoughtful.

Preparing Britain for when QE2 pegs it. Royalty is an abomination in this century as far as I'm concerned. Vive la Republique!

Eh?! No, he'll be Charles III.

He won't be George VI. If for no other reason that George VI died in 1952.

Oh yeqh missed a George...George VII then. Well George VI first name was Albert . Thats why he was called Bertie.

Same idea. Pretty sure he won't be Charles III

Re: King Charles III on telly tonight
Edward VIII was know as David but that was the last of his many names.

It's about precedent. There's never been a King Albert to George VII used the George name in honour of his father.

We have had two King Charles so I don't see why he wouldn't use Charles?
